The 2008 Small Ruminant Short Course will be held at Camp Pioneer in Beverly, WV on Saturday, December 6th from 9 am till 2 pm. A lamb luncheon will be served at noon. There will be workshops and discussions on wool, goats, predator control, breeding soundness, animal health, targeted grazing, and FAMANCHA. There is no charge for the short course, though there will be a charge for lunch for non-members of the WV Shepherd's Federation (You may join the Federation at the door and get the free lunch, as well as supporting the sheep, goat and fiber industries in the state of West Virginia). The WVSF Annual Meeting will follow the short course at 2 pm.

Unified Membership dues are $40 per year, the membership year runs from January through December. Any new member or renewal for WVSF will be good through December 31 of the current year. Members receive the monthly ASI sheep industry news and are eligible to use the West Virginia Shepherds Federation website to sell commercial or purebred sheep, lambs or goats.
A 1 year membership ONLY to WVSF is $20.00. A one year membership ONLY to ASI is $25.00 minimum or a $.04/hd. Contact ASI if paying by credit card.
